Characteristics



Forgery 12 - 1 Cent

  1. Broad oblique line through bowsprit.
  2. Upper horizontal stroke of Z extended to right.
  3. Four passengers on deck. One in the bow, two to the rear of the foremast and one in front of the mizzenmast.
  4. Smoke plume heavily outlined reaching almost to the inner border of the oval and passing behind the mizzenmast
  5. The U of SUEZ is square at the base and the serifs form an unbroken line across the top of the letter.
  6. There is a barely noticeable protuberance at the bottom of the floral appendage just above the value tablet.
